Boys Lacrosse Clubs


Lacrosse clubs are a great way for those dedictaed to improving their skills to get to the next level. If your son is considering playing lacrosse in High School or College, you should strongly consider a club.

Laxachusetts Minutemen

Club Highlights

  • Teams are formed by grade/graduation year from 4th through 11th grades
  • Format is tournament play with some late fall and summer weekend tournaments (June & July)
  • Have AA and A TEAMS
  • Extensive, top notch indoor winter skills sessions - Canton SportsPlex and other locations
  • Some practices in summer
  • Tryouts - September, October
  • Program cost $$, players receive practice and game uniforms

Summer Club Highlights
NESLL also forms summer Elite teams that play in summer tournaments. This option is more competitive than their Spring program.

Top Gun Lacrosse

Top Gun has an indoor league called CELL that consists either of town select teams or teams created from individuals (called Free Agents).  The program also has summer select teams that play in tournaments.

CELL (Clam Elite Lacrosse League)
·         Teams are middle school and two high school age groups
·         Sunday indoor games in Acton MA (possible other locations)
·         Two sessions: Sep-Nov and Nov-Feb
·         Program cost is $$, you can play one or both sessions
·         Practice or skill sessions unclear
Top Gun All Star Teams
·         Teams are middle school (6-8th grade), 9-10th and 11-12th grades
·         Format appears to be tournament play
·         There are two (maybe more teams) per age group
·         Unclear if thereis a winter program
·         Tryouts - September, October - Players must be in CELL to tryout
·         Program cost unknown

Bidstrup Leadership Group

Run by the former long time (22 years) lacrosse coach at the Governor's Academy, Peter Bidstrup. With former Cannons and UVA star JJ Morrissey,  Bidstrup will be running a "Young Leaders Lacrosse" Camp in July. This is a traditional teaching camp with a twist - we are also focused on teaching leadership skills. It is for boys entering grades 7-10.
